Work trips will sometimes take you into unfamiliar environments—and occasionally hazardous ones.
Even a well-regulated environment, like a factory floor, can present dangers to a visitor who doesn’t know their way around.
Different environments require different safety knowledge and skills, so make appropriate preparations for any work trip and seek training if you need it. However, one skill which is essential in any potentially hazardous environment is situational awareness.
