Airports and aeroplanes can be challenging environments, especially if you’re not familiar with them. We’re going to take a typical plane journey: along the way We’ll look at the challenges and how to overcome them.
Air travel is a lot easier if you give yourself plenty of time. For an international flight, you should arrive at the airport 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. For a domestic flight, allow 1 to 2 hours.
Luggage restrictions vary from airline to airline, so check your provider’s policy. Most airlines impose a maximum weight limit on your checked bags and a maximum size limit on your carry-on luggage.
There are also some items you can’t pack, typically hazardous items, such as flammable substances.
Once you’ve checked in, go straight to Security. Read the signs in Security carefully and be prepared to answer questions about your bags. Always be polite to airport staff.
