Travelling for Work: Time Zones

Some business trips involve travel between different time zones. That means the time at your destination will be different to the time at home. If your trip takes you across the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean, you may even arrive on a different day than you might expect.
For example, a flight leaving San Francisco late on a Tuesday evening might arrive in Hong Kong not on Wednesday morning, but on Thursday!
To make matters more complicated, many countries—and even some regions—operate daylight savings time, which means that the time in these places is different at different times of the year.
